Murchison Community School 414-2873 (Gwen) Fee= $3.00 plus cost of book.
Classes held Saturday *afternoons* from 12:00 noon to 4PM.
Classes to be held at Doss Elementary (likely in trailers)
due to plumbing construction at Murchison
Doss is located up hill from Murchison. West off Mopac on to Far West,
left on Hart lane, right at North Hills, up hill to Doss on right.

This schedule shows topics to be covered in each class session. It also
provides reading for "homework" which should be done before each session
(please pre-read the intro). The book for this course is the ARRL *General
Class License" manual, available at Austin Amateur Radio Supply. Other books,
such as Gordon West*s or the Radio Shack publications are welcome, but class
references will be from the ARRL book mentioned.
CW practice will be held for the first 30 minutes of the class.
Class Session 1 -- June 5
Subjects: Introduction to General license and privileges, FCC Rules &
Regulations, Operating, how best to use the book.
No Class on June 12 Hamfest- Ham-Com in Arlington, Tx.
Class Session 2 -- June 19
Subjects: Radio-wave Propagation, Amateur Practices.
Class Session 3 -- June 26
Subjects: Electrical Principles, Circuit Components, Practical Circuits.
Class Session 4 -- July 3
Subjects: Review of electronics, Signals and Emissions
Class Session 5 -- July 10
Subjects: Antennas, Feedlines and RF safety.
Class Tests at St. Edwards University 2PM July 24
Bring with you a picture id (driver*s license/student card), one other form of
identification & exam fee ($6.75).
